Nortel Networks Carling Campus, Laboratory 9 Expansion

Nortel’s Carling Campus Laboratory 9 project completes their southern campus expansion. The mirror image of one of the previously completed Laboratories 6, 7 and 8, this project consists of one level of underground parking with three stories of above grade office and dry laboratory space. This 254,000 sf facility consists of a reinforced concrete structure clad in an energy-efficient curtainwall system. Elaborate voice and data systems provide the necessary infrastructure required by Nortel personnel to maintain their leading edge in the hi-tech industry. The office lobbies and public areas adopt an “open” concept with hard finishes of exposed concrete and steel.
