Special Projects completed the 50,000 sf clubhouse and events facility expansion to Angus GlenÂ's existing clubhouse. The structure comprises a two-storey, below-grade reinforced concrete cart-park. The frame above grade was constructed of a skeleton of structural steel and wood framing, clad in timber and capped with cedar shakes. The main hall construction was particularly challenging with the inclusion of a suspended coloured glass illuminated ceiling with variable lighting level capability. The result achieved is a space that showcases the high level of workmanship and the design team's attention to detail. PCL was chosen for our proven ability to deliver a complex, phased program on time and on budget with minimal disruption to the membership and on-going operations.
