Project Description
Located at the foot of Bay Street, north of Lakeshore Blvd., the Air Canada Centre is the home to the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and the NBA's Toronto Raptors. It comprises a 650,000 sf arena and a 165,000 sf, 15-storey tower. The exterior of both the arena and tower is curtainwall and metal sandwich panels (Speedwall) with a single-ply EPDM roof membrane. Windows in the historical facade have been fabricated to match the original design using today's curtainwall technology. The arena features 18,800 fixed seats for hockey and 19,800 seats for basketball, four separate public restaurants/lounges plus an 18,000 sf public galleria with retail areas and a food court, underground parking for 212 vehicles, two covered links to Union Station and the restoration of two historically significant facades from the old Postal Delivery building.
