Direct Energy Centre

The project consisted of the construction, on a design-build basis, of a new 120,000 m2 trade centre complete with one level of underground parking. Also included in the project were the construction of an underground pedestrian tunnel to the existing Automotive Building, selective demolition, renovations, historical restorations to the existing Coliseum complex, extensive hard and soft landscaping and street realignments, as well as tie-in to an advance contract performed by others. Award of the design/build contract occurred on June 15,1995. The project was completed by March 31, 1997.
