Project Description
The St. Joseph's Hospital Redevelopment is located in downtown Hamilton at the base of the Niagara Escarpment. The Hospital's redevelopment included a new ten-storey tower, a 650-space parking garage, two MRI's, a PET scanner, an Academic Centre and an expanded research facility. The research MRI is on the cutting edge of technology and is one of only two of its type in the world. The new tower and parking garage are reinforced concrete structures, the exterior cladding of the tower consists of curtain wall, stone, masonry and siding. The interior is typical hospital standard finishes such as sheet vinyl, painted drywall, acrovyn protection specialties and plastic laminate finished millwork. The Hospital also features a two-storey clear space in the entrance lobby and a 185-seat amphitheatre on the second level.
