This project was one of the largest design-build bid contracts ever to be awarded to PCL in Canada. The PCL program was selected based on a combination of price and design which had to meet the strict compliance requirements set by the client, the Greater Toronto Airports Authority. The project consisted of six major buildings for the GTAA's major tenants relating to passenger travel air cargo and maintenance facilities and related sitework - aprons, taxiways, roads and parking lots. The construction of the buildings in this design build project allow the vacating and demolition of existing airport structures in preparation for construction of the new terminal.
