This 235,000 sq ft expansion to the existing Queensway Carleton Hospital consists of a new 85,000 sq ft four storey cancer clinic with three radiation bunkers and a 367 foot long raised link connection to the existing building.
It adds two outpatient clinic pods, thirty three chemotherapy spaces as well as systemic oncology and pharmacy to the functional program.
There is also a separate seven level parking structure for 581 cars, with a total area of approximately 150,000 sq ft and built with precast double T floors, columns and centre wall. The site will receive substantial rework of infrastructure including storm and sanitary sewers, roadways, parking lots, landscaping and a new electrical substation.
