This project involves the addition and renovation to the School of Image Arts located at the corner of Gould & Bond Street; the existing building will be unoccupied during construction. The Gallery is accommodated within the existing Image Arts Building and an addition to the west elevation of the existing building will provide a new entrance and graduate research centre above. The new addition to the Bond Street elevation provides for new student study space, office space and meeting rooms for the school's staff. The existing School of Image Arts is clad in masonry brick and will be re-clad with a new more efficient glass cladding and will include vertical transportation capable of servicing all levels of the facility and the reinforcement of the existing structure to allow for an addition of up to four new floors.
