Current Progress
(as of July 3, 2008) Bulk excavation and shoring installation is scheduled to be completed on July 7th in preparation for foundation work to commence on July 10th. The current anticipated completion date for structure up to ground floor level is November 7, 2008 for the tower and December 17, 2008 for the parking structure. Building envelope work is scheduled to commence on January 14, 2009. Project Description
This project consists of a 22-storey retirement residence with 201 condominium units, rental and respite space; 3 levels underground parking; and ground-level exterior parking. Extensive facilities targeted toward the seniors market on the lower levels include a dining hall with commercial kitchen, chapel/presentation room, wellness centre, therapeutic pool with change area and administrative office. Also included in the project is a large-scale site preparation and excavation operation, a tower structure consisting of cast-in-place concrete, extensive landscaping and upgraded interior finishes and amenity spaces. Construction of this facility directly adjacent to the Sawmill Creek Valley, which forms part of the Credit Valley Conservation Area, will present unique and significant challenges.
