Our concrete structure was completed as of Feb. 22nd, concrete curbs and pads 95% complete. Exterior masonry completed, waterproof membrane, insulation and precast concrete completed north of the lease line. Curtainwall 95% complete, main entrance and punch windows in progress as well as the 5th floor curtainwall. Tower roofing 70% complete and the 4th floor is in progress. The rails have been installed in elevators shafts 3 and4. Basement M&E rough-in complete, M&E high voltage switchgear and transformers units set in place, masonry walls and door frames 95% complete, prime paint in progress. Ground floor M&E rough-ins 90% complete, interior masonry 90% complete, 80% of the door frames installed. Metal framing completed in the washrooms, janitors and electrical rooms. Southwest and west side metal framing still in progress. Electrical room drywall, taped/finished and painted. Second and third floor M&E rough-ins in progress, interior masonry and door frames/transoms complete. Metal framing at washroom, electrical room, janitors room, corridors and between rooms have been completed. Electrical room drywall, taped/finished and painted. Mechanical 4th floor HVAC ductwork complete, rough-in plumbing and sprinklers in progress, Mechanical units hoisted and set in place. Masonry and door frames 90% complete, HSS post installation for louvers in progress. 5th-8th floor rough-in plumbing in progress, Interior masonry 90% complete up to the 10th floor. Project Description
This new state-of-the-art headquarters for the Archives of Ontario is being delivered under the Government of Ontario's Infrastructure Ontario Alternate Financing Program (AFP). PCL has partnered with Plenary Group to deliver this design-build/finance/operate project. The building design will conform to LEED® Silver certification standards. The facility is located at York University's main campus in the Greater Toronto Area and will house over $400 million in archvies collections owned by the Province of Ontario. The self-contained facility will meet the highest international archival standards and will provide an appropriate setting to showcase some of the most valuable collections in the Archives. The project consists of a 10-storey concrete building serving Archives of Ontario (AO) and York University (YU). The building has a total GFA of 255,284 s.f. which is split between AO (127,520 s.f. on floors 1, 2 and 3) and YU (127,764 s.f. on floors 5 through 10). The 4th floor is a shared mechanical space divided 60/40 between the two owners.
