Project Description
The RBC Centre is a 43-storey Class “A” office building located on the southwest corner of Wellington and Simcoe Streets in downtown Toronto, across from Roy Thomson Hall. The project also features an adjoining 10-storey podium structure with 3 levels of underground parking. The owner of the project is The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited and the anchor tenant is the Royal Bank of Many special features have been incorporated into the building including 100% emergency power, bomb blast design in the structure and curtainwall, with exposed concrete ceilings on every floor. In addition, the unique design includes access floor throughout, under-floor air distribution (heating and cooling) and a state-of-the-art daylight harvesting system which reduces glare while still allowing the maximum amount of daylight into the building. The project was built to achieve LEED® Gold certification.
