Current Progress
Manitoba Hydro Downtown Office Project is currently focusing on the interior finishes in the tower portion of the building. These finishes included installation of floor grilles/diffusers, carpet tile, demountable partitions, as well as finishes to the core area. Mechanical and electrical underfloor work continues on the podium floors. The gallery floor granite and wood feature walls are being installed. Work on the exterior of the building includes installation of the green roofs, granite and limestone cladding, metal cladding on the penthouse and solar chimney. Project Description
Manitoba Hydro's new head office building in downtown Winnipeg will be a functional, state-of-the-art energy efficient (LEED), cost-effective structure that embodies and demonstrates Manitoba Hydro's commitment to sustainable development. While meeting the business needs of Manitoba Hydro, the office building will have a positive impact on the future of Winnipeg's downtown and be a source of pride for Manitobans.
